With author's signature "With all good wishes from Francis Yeats-Brown 15 July 1932" on ffep. The author served as an officer in the British Indian army and was the author of the celebrated memoir The Lives of a Bengal Lancer. As a member of the Royal Flying Corps he worked in Mesopotamia. The book covers the period 1908 to 1918 with particular reference to the position of Ottoman Turkey where he was held prisoner.. Author Presntation Copy. Hard Cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾".
