London/New York: John Lane/The Bodley Head, 1904. Cloth. Good. Blue cloth decorated with small black butterflies. 252 pp., plus ads. Black and white illustrations by Maxfield Parrish throughout, all present as called for. Illustrated edition of this collection of childhood memories, fictionalized and mythologized through the use of ancient Greek metaphors. GOOD condition. Mostly minor spotting, staining and soiling to the covers, a bit heavier to the front cover. Extremities scuffed and worn. Interior solid, with some foxing in the gutters of a few scattered pages throughout.
