Octavo, 9" tall, 56 pages + 8 illustration plates, black quarter cloth and black cloth fore-corner tips to front cover, gilt titles to spine cloth, black titles on 'gold' boards. Note: we think this copy has been through smoke damage from a fire which may account for the soot on the dust jacket as well the degree of yellowing to the paper stock that may have been worsened by heat. A better than good copy overall, generally clean, sturdy with moderate shelf wear and rubbing at the edges, BUT cover color faded and with light soiling at the margins, minor rubbing to the corners but bottom edge of spine cloth split and fraying started, binding solid, text paper generally clean, but with light to moderate yellowing, some page signatures unopened. In a good minus, edge worn dust jacket with significant soiling and chips at the flap fold and backstrip edges, one larger 1/4" chip at the top edge ending in a scuff to the corner of the title and illustration box and another lower on the same edge of the illustration; with the original price present.
