An attractive second edition of one of the French author and Nobel Prize winner's earliest books in English, based on a series of six lectures Gide delivered in 1922. Translator unacknowledged. Introduction by Arnold Bennett. Small octavo (7.5 x 5 in.); 176pp.; blue cloth boards, in dust jacket. Mild toning to edges of textblock, else fine in a very good (+) jacket, with moderate toning, particularly to spine panel and flap fore-edges.

All books ship free with tracking to domestic addresses via USPS Media Mail. In most cases, delivery takes place within a three to ten day window, although the vicissitudes of USPS may apply. Unless otherwise requested, expedited domestic purchases ship via USPS Priority Mail; overseas orders via USPS First Class International. Heavy or oversized books may incur additional shipping charges, as may books shipped to overseas destinations. Any additional charges required will be communicated promptly.
We take safe shipping very seriously; all of our books are packaged in new cardboard boxes amply cushioned with biodegradable packing peanuts. Pamphlets and other flat materials items are ocassionally shipped in bubble-mailers with internal cardboard supports. All books with dust jackets are fitted with brand new archival protectors prior to shipping.
