New York: Pellegrini and Cudahy, 1948. First U.S. . Hard. Very Good/Very Good. Apparent first U.S. printing of this entry in the "English Masters of Black-And-White". Cruikshank illustrated any number of classics, including Dickens, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and Washington Irving. This slim voliume focuses on his long life and career, with many reproductions of his art. Brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine, tan jacket. Very Good (slight lean to spine, a little yellowing of pages) in a VG jacket (no tears, some soil evident). Not price clipped ($2.50). A touch of paste residue to front flap and first FFEp pasted to front board.
