Lewis Historical Publishing Company. 1911. First Edition. Very Good; Hardcover; 4to 11" - 13" tall; New York; Four volumes; each half-leather bound in brown pebbled calf. Gilt lettering on spine; bottom and fore-edges marbled. Marbled endpapers. 2208 pages. Profusely illustrated with b & w portraits of Connecticut's notable personages and photos of landmarks; tissue guards. Volume IV rear board is completely detached, but present . Moderate edge wear and rubbing on edges and corner tips of covers. Bindings square and solid, except Volume IV as mentioned. Pages clean, only a hint of foxing on a few pages, some endpapers lightly soiled. Portraits bright and intact. .
