(Cape Town: [printed by] Nasionale Pers, 1942). 8vo; original dark green cloth, blocked in black on upper cover; pp. (viii) + 117; photographs in text. A little foxing to endpapers, edges and outermost leaves. Very good condition. Afrikaans text. (Nienaber I, p. 333) "Die kerkraad het dit aan die skrywer opgedra om 'n gedenkboekie in verband met die honderdjarige bestaan van die gemeente op te stel, en die resultaat van sy arbeid moet dan ook as 'n gedenkboekie, puur en simpel, bejeën word. Die informasie en inhoud daarvan is hoofsaaklik 'n opsomming van die annale van die gemeente soos in die notule van die plaaslike kerkraadsvergaderings vervat word. Uit die Kerkargief in Kaapstad, Die Kerkbode, die koerante, soos die Zuid-Afrikaan en Standard and Mail, en Imperiale en Kaapse blouboeke is ander gegewens geput. Verder, as 'n seun wat in die gemeente opgegroei het, het die skrywer ook oor feite beskik en van manne en vroue en gebeurtenisse in die gemeente kennis gedra, wat vir die behoorlike opstelling van die boekie onontbeerlik was." .
