Martino Publishing. Reprint. Hardcover. Very Good. 9x7x1. Hardback, described as a Limited Edition Facsimile of the Original Edition which was printed in 1939. Lacks dustwrapper, light rubbing to boards, plus some light spotting. No creasing or fading, no inscriptions, illustrated. Bright and clean internally with little wear. There are some dirty marks to edge of text block which look unsightly but cannot be seen when pages are open. Heavy book, will require additional postage outside the UK.

Facsimile edition in fine shape: xiii, 718p., black cloth boards spine-titled in grey, the Martino reprint titlepage is followed by a faithful reproduction of titlepage from the original San Francisco publication, which was lovely. Unfortunately, the contrasted images display all too clearly Martino's sloppy presswork; perhaps the 1939 first in nice handleable shape might have broken the Martino budget. At any rate the item in hand is completely sound and legible, just that the slightly blurred repro text leaves are a little ugly.
