White endpapers unmarked and clean except for light smudging at top right corner ffep. White pages clean and unmarked, small number of black and white maps and figures in-text. Top of page ends lightly smudged. Loose but intact hinges and tight binding. NEAR FINE-. Glossy paper dustjacket with red and black titles on front and spine, sepia photograph on cover. Lightly smudged, beginning to yellow, wear to head and tail with two small tears (0.5" & 0.25") to tail on back cover near spine. VERY GOOD.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine-/Very Good. 9 x 6 1/4.
