A fair ex-library copy with all the usual stamps and markings. Their are circular ink stamp cancellations (city of Westminster Public Libraries - St. Martin-in-the-Fields.) to both sides of each plate. Gilt library markings to the spine too and a charming engraved bookplate of the City of Westminster public libraries to the front paste-down. Numerous illustrative plates in b/w and a colour illustrative chart at the rear of the book. A fair only ex-library first edition copy (scarce as such) in original publisher's cloth.
