n.p.: Hallmark, 1960. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Apparently a first printing of a kid's book (ages 3 - 6) published by Hallmark. Covers and pages are paper boards. We do not know the date of publication, but estimate 1960; could have been earlier or later. Inside the front cover is the color illustration of a Dutch girl and inside the back cover is the color illustration of a boy fron Switzerland. Following that, each "page" or leaf is made of three color panels (9 panels in all) which are ingeniously designed so that when flipped in different arrangements present the other 6 children from different nations. So, total of 8 children: Brigit from Holland, Ahmed from Africa, Chee from China, Raj from India, Margarita from Mexico, Jaques from Canada, Jenny from the USA, & Hans from Switzerland. The binding was originally a plastic spiral binding, but it broke and the owner carefully "restrung" the binding with an appropriate grade of thread. This is a nifty little book even with stereotypically dressed children. Vg. We do not find this title for sale on the internet anywhere. In spite of being rebound, this should be considered a collector's item.
