With Four Original Drawings and Six Illustrations by Vanessa Bell. 8vo. 163 pp. A near fine or better copy in buff cloth, gilt titles to the spine, some toning in a scarce Vanessa Bell pictorial dustwrapper, (expertly restored), depicting Virginia Woolf's cocker spaniel 'Pinka' as Elizabeth Barrett Browning's beloved spaniel 'Flush'. 'Woolf began writing Flush in the summer of 1931, after completing The Waves. She continued to work on it as she began writing The Pargiters and she wrote in her Diary at the end of 1932 that she was using Flush to "cool" her mind after the effort of writing The Pargiters".
