About This Item

London: John Mason, 1857. First Edition 36,[1] pp. Demy 18mo. Original blue patterned cloth. Gilt title on front board. Original endpapers. All edges gilt. A touch of spotting otherwise in fantastic condition. The little book details a missionary trip to the Feejee Mission in the late 1840's. This appears to be the second item published by the mission and part of a series. Seems vary scarce as you would expect with only 3 copies located on World Cat. This copy from the library of Andrew David with his engraved South Pacific Bookplate. 1857
