London: Kegan Paul Trench & Trubner, 1900. Book. Good. Cloth. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Buff coloured buckram with bevelled edges and titles in red on front cover and spine. Pages untrimmed. Title page is printed in red and black. Condition: Good, covers are lightly soiled with light bumping to head and tail of spine. Spine is sunned so that title on spine is faded. Browning to endpapers. No inscriptions. Binding sound. 226pp. The book includes an introductory essay on the Flora Sacra, sections on flowering trees, such as the Holy Thorn of Glastonbury and the Cadnam Oak, types of the Incarnation, such as the tree of Jesse and the Burning Bush, together with the flora seen during the nativity, such as at the visitation of the shepherds and the adoration of the Kings, finishing with the "repose" in Egypt, and a conclusion. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
