This work investigates South African historical novels as foundational narratives that mediate between history and story in order to conjure up the myth of the modern nation. By exploring the rhetoric of plot patterns and the semantics of recurrent motifs, the book discusses the ways in which texts produce a literary discourse about the past which aims at forming or consolidating a national consciousness. Author was a researcher in the Department of English and German Languages and Literatures at the University of Padova.

Local Deliveries: Standard Rate is via Pudo, Locker-to-Locker. Expedited Rate refers to use of either Fedex or Postnet if required by customer.

Overseas Deliveries: Standard Rate will use courier out of South Africa and then will utilise local postal service for 'last mile' deliveries. Expedited Rate will utilise full courier service.
