Covers soiled & spotted, corners bruised & rubbed, binding cracking in a couple of places, previous owner's name in ink at front pastedown, moderately toned & occasionally foxed, Good or so.

Presents ten essays by various authors, good Baptists all, including:"The Menace of Feminism" (John William Porter), "Should a Woman Speak to Mixed Assemblies?" (John A. Broadus), "The Bible on Women's Public Speaking" (T.T. Eaton), "The Work and Sphere of True Womanhood" (W.H. Felix), etc. John William Porter, presumably the compiler as well, provides a closing summary, writing in part: "There was no woman among the twelve apostles, nor the seventy Surely had Christ intended for women to preach, and to speak in mixed assemblies, he would have made some mention of the fact."
