Boards are red cloth, lettering peach on navy on spine, navy on peach on front cover, pictorial cover of a schooner ship. Book spine is straight, square, solid, not sunned, slight bit of shelf soil, top free edge is quite chipped, bottom free edge same plus there is a piece missing out of the bottom spine lower corner going onto back cover lower corner size 1/2 inch W x 3/8 inch H, red cloth of spine is gone and a bit of the lower internal spine shows. Book boards and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, one bent corner tip, one bruised corner point with a bit of board showing, and back lower outer corner point is missing with board gone size 3/8 inch along bottom edge and 5/8 inch along side edge and next to this on bottom board edge is a part where the cloth surface is rubbed in size 1/2 inch wide along bottom board and 3/8 inch high, two faint vertical spine creases beside spine, no sunning, one small dent in front bottom board, not much other edge wear, most is as already mentioned on spine and corner tips. Page edges sunned and have a bit of shelf soil and top and bottom edges have one small area each where a child has made small faint marks with a pencil. Inner end papers are bright white with red/white pictorials of an igloo, a Chinese junk ship a south pacific hut, etc. On back of ffep there is a school book issue stamp issued when new and showing no dates out so I believe this book was given as a prize when new. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, clear, flat. The deer facing page 1 has been carefully outlined in pencil and does not show except for pencil dent on last page of Contents. Top of page 6-7 has a light black mark. Top of page 9-11 has a small crease and page 11 has a bit of light finger soil on side margin. From Page 11 to back of book looks untouched, unread. Small bit of age darkening inside covers at binding and on edges of some pages. Lots of lovely colour illustrations by Armstrong Sperry. Black/white illustrations also. Fun to see the old cars and other items in the illustrations. Large text for young readers.

WILLOWBAY BOOKS

THERE IS NO COVID-19 IN MY STORE AND MY SALES ARE ONLINE ONLY. IMPORTANT NOTE RE POSTAGE: I love books and most of my books are NEW or LIKE NEW. I'm very careful in describing my books accurately and I've done so to the best of my ability using the IOBA Book Condition guidelines. All items are from a smoke-free, clean, dry environment. My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.

This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office. Thanks for your understanding. I will always email you with the date your package was shipped, and shipping method used.

I'm sure you'll enjoy looking through my books, and purchasing from WILLOWBAY BOOKS. Thanks. Ms. Bronwen Kathy Williams, Ontario, Canada.
