A very good or very good plus, tight, clean copy in a good wrapper. 63 black and white photographic plates in the final part three section - a portfolio of the pictures. Original publisher's blue cloth - gilt embossed to the spine. Two fold-out colour maps. No inscriptions. Some scattered light foxing. The head and tail of the spine a little bumped. The wrapper has not been price-clipped. It is somewhat chipped at the head and tail of the spine with no loss of text but with a couple of open tears. There is another short open tear to the head of the rear panel and a couple of other short tears to the peripheries now expertly closed. The tapper is lightly toned to the spine - it has some dust soiling and light foxing to it and some light rubbing to the peripheries. A very good, clean, tight well preserved first edition copy in a good wrapper.
