Two volumes complete - Volume One - [5], 2-566pp; and Volume Two - [5], 2-594pp. Contemporary full polished calf, raised bands, spine in six panels, title label to second panel, volume label to third, remaining panels gilt with volutes and fleurons, double line border to covers, with flower head corner pieces, all edges marbled, swirl pattern marbled endpapers. Spines lightly faded, rubbed to extremities, small amounts of loss to surface of leather on covers. Lightly browned internally, Eton gift inscription to ffep of first volume, otherwise fairly clean. Greg's essays include, 'Mary Barton', 'English Socialism', 'Progress and Hopes of Socialism', 'France Since 1848', and 'The Relation Between Employers and the Employed'. First Thus. Hardback. Good. 8vo.
