Cork: George Purcell, 1844. Second edition. Hardcover. Fine. 12mo. (vi),(2),122pp. Three woodcut plates. Half blue morocco, gilt spine title, blue cloth sides. T.e.g. Original pink printed wrappers bound in (a little soiled).
An interesting expanded essay from the 40pp first edition of 1824, on how to steer a balloon (including perhaps tethered falcons!) There is also a discussion on the design and use of parachutes.
Cloth on upper board is rubbed else this is a fine copy.
