About This Item

Wien [Vienna]: Herbert Reichner Verlag, 1933. Frontispiece, 24 pages + 19 leaves of facsimile letterpress illustrating some examples of Ratdolt's 15th century printing--many leaves printed in red and black. With the similarly printed 12-page biographical pamphlet still in its paper band attached to the front pastedown endpaper. Limited edition: #167 of 200 copies printed. Binding is burgundy cloth. Text is in German language. The book is clean and tight; rubbed at spine extremities, with 1/16 inch tears at spine corners. Spine lightly sunned. Pages lightly tanning. Much nicer than it sounds--certainly a better than acceptable copy for the collector.. First Edition. Hardcover. Collectible-Very Good/No Dust Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
