Barcelona: Editorial Molino The Case of the Lame Canary Spanish Language Edition 12mo size mass market paperback; 252 pages. The illustrated cover also has an inset illustration of actor Raymond Burr, who played Perry Mason in the television series of the 1950s - 1960s. This book is number one in the series by this publisher. Erle Stanley Gardner (1889-1970) was an attorney who became a prolific author. Suspended from law school in the midwest, Gardener returned to his home in California where he read the law and passed the California Bar Exam. He practice law off and on until 1933, when the first Perry Mason novel was published. Perry Mason is a very successful character with multiple movies, multiple television shows and more than 80 novels. The character of Perry Mason is based on California attorney Earl Rogers (1869-1922), who was born in Perry, New York. Rogers, a pioneer of visual exhibits, was the defense lawyer in 77 murder trials, losing only three. Front covers have light creasing at top corner and bottom tip, bumped top left corner, edgewear, tanned pages. We have other Spanish language Perry Mason books available. . Mass Market Paperback.
