New York: Thos. Cook & Son, 1931. Octavo. 117pp. (4)pp. ads. It was Cook who brought to Victorian England the idea that travel to exotic places in the Near East (particularly those that ended up in Palestine) would be akin to a religious experience. They would understand exactly when they were travel by train in sleeping cars, boats with fine accommodations, by car or what gratuities might be made (not included in the rates they quoted). Agatha Christie would stay in their special suites. Bound in color pictorial wraps, endpapers are maps. some staining or rubbing to wrappers, spine rubbed with chip to foot.
