New York: R.H. Russell, Publisher, 1899. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. Illustrated paper covered boards with a cream cloth spine. Oblong folio. A somewhat humorous look at an episode in the life of Mr. Pipp, chronicling his travels abroad with his wife and daughters, told through illustrations accompanied by short captions. By Charles Dana Gibson, the noted American illustrator, perhaps best known for his 'Gibson Girl,' being his depiction of the modern woman at the beginning of the 20th century. This volume features many Gibson Girl style illustrations throughout. GOOD condition. Minor to moderate spotting, staining soiling and foxing to the covers. Uneven darkening. Minor scuffing. Some bumping and wear to the extremities. Interior solid, with minor scattered foxing throughout. A few pages with small tears to their lower edges.
