Washington, DC: National Gallery of Art, distributed by Yale University Press, (1998). First edition. Small folio, 480 pp., profusely illustrated in color. Publisher's black cloth lettered in gilt on the spine & in blind on the upper cover, in pictorial dust jacket.
Upper margins slightly sunned, ffep creased, text block beginning to slip at the top of the spine, otherwise Very Good in Fine dust jacket.
A lovely book which was produced in conjunction with an exhibition at the National Gallery of Art from November 15, 1998 to February 15, 1999: " presents examples of Edo art in all media, discussed in the context of ornament, samurai arts, work, religion and festivals, landscapes and travel, and entertainment.
