The copper plate engravings are by Hester Sainsbury and have been printed and hand coloured by Messrs. A. Alexander and Sons, Ltd." Vols. 2-12 printed by Richard Clay and Sons, Ltd. This set unnumbered.


A delightful unsigned full leather vbinding of rust colored morocco. Spine titles in gilt. Spines and boards tooled in blind with triple rectangular frames on which a double oval frame is tooled, the margins outside the frams tastefully tooled in dots. The upper boards of each volume with black onlays in a simple art deco design. Top edges gilt. A fine set. With the engraved armorial bookplates of Frederick Walter Fell Clark.
