About This Item
London: Macmillan and Co. Ltd. 1939. Second impression of the first edition. Second impression of the first edition. Signed by the author. Publisher's original green cloth with gilt titles to the spine, without the dustwrapper. A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm with minor rubbing to the extremities. The contents with light spotting to the first few pages are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. An attractive example. Inscribed by the author in black ink on the front free endpaper "To Dick. / Nottingham. Cheltenham / August. September 1941. / with the author's warm respects. / The photos are the best of it by far!". Further details and images for any of the items listed are available on request.
