In overall good to very good used condition with only minor signs of handling and storage - original green embossed cloth boards, with gilt titles to spine, are lightly shelfworn and corners rounded. Internally clean. Binding tight and appears little read, no annotations or inscriptions - name very neat to title page; toning to page-ends but text clean and clear throughout. Frontispiece portarit of Sheridan retains its tissue-paper guard. Not an old library book. Photograph available.

Measures around 7 1/2" by 5". Brown cloth binding, embossed and patterned, gilt lettering to spine. Some scuffing and marking. Signs of shelf-wear, slightly bumped and torn corners and edges. Binding reasonably firm, though strained in places. Page edges deckled, browned, scuffed and marked with some staining which has bled onto page surfaces to some degree. A little marking to endpapers. Some creased page corners. Rubbed out inscription to FFEP, the odd pencil mark but otherwise, no marginalia, underlining, etc. See pictures for further information.
