FIRST AND ONLY EDITION. 8vo, 205 x 130 mms., pp. [iv], 29 [30 blank], disbound; inner margin of title-page repaired, title-page slightly soiled, and with slight staining to inner margins. Emerson (1701 - 1782) began his association with John Nourse in 1763, and he wrote a number of introductory mathematical texts for him. His topic here is permutations, later denominated factorials; Christian Kramp introduced the notation n! for factorials in 1808.
