A very bright copy in a splendid contemporary binding For this work, Mackintosh collected a large amount of material and underwent a considerable amount of research. He only completed the work to James II's abdication at his time of death. However, his extensive notes came into the hands of Thomas Babington Macaulay who then used the notes for his own historical writings. The Glorious Revolution was the overthrow of King James II of England by a union of English Parliamentarians with Dutch stadtholder William III, Prince of Orange. Complete in two volumes.
