About This Item

Berkeley [Hamburg]: University of California at Berkeley Dept. of History of Art [Paul Evert Verlag], 1974. Very Good. Berkeley: University of California at Berkeley Dept. of History of Art, 1975 [reprint facsimile of works published initially in Hamburg: Paul Evert Verlag, 1937 and 1938]. First Thus. Octavo (24x16.5x1cm); two paginations: Fassade 122pp; Baptisterium 99-151pp, additional 2pp of 1974 bibliography. Fassade has 7pp of diagrams and photographs; Baptisterium has 37 diagrams and photographs. Principal text entirely in German; documentary citations in French and Italian; bibliography in English.

Dark mustard textured card wraps. Cover and textblock unmarred and unmarked.

This reprint volume was published as a collective tribute by the Berkeley Department of Art History at the time of Professor Horn's retirement. Neither of these important studies had been adequately distributed in 1937 or 1938, as war loomed.
