Paris: Éditions du Seuil, 1988. Hardcover. 581p., cloth-covered boards, very good condition in an unclipped and lightly yellowed dust jacket. Text in French. Buber-Neumann was a member of the German Communist Party who was arrested and sent to a labor camp in Siberia, then handed over to the Gestapo and held in the Ravensbrück concentration camp. Her experiences led her to become a staunch anti-Communist and she later became a member of the Congress for Cultural Freedom.
