Reprint. Ex-library copy but with stamps, pockets, labels etc to front and back endpapers only - no stamps in text. Brown cloth boards with gilt titles to spine. Binding firm. Book has forward lean. Light fox spotting / brown marks in text and to text block edges. Jacket clipped, tears and light chipping to spine ends and fold ends, light surface marking. 222 pp. All books are individually described. Synopsis
Josephine Tey began writing full-time after the successful publication of her first novel, The Man in the Queue (1929), which introduced Inspector Grant of Scotland Yard. She died in 1952, leaving her entire estate to the National Trust.
