New York: Dodd, Mead and Company, 1926. First Edition (NAP) . Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Bound in pale gray cloth with titles and decorations in black and red . Corresponding 1926 dates to the title and copyright pages; no additional printings. Illustrated endpapers by Washington Broadhead. The author was born in Norway and later lived in Canada; her themes were rural life in Canada and Minnesota. This copy has just a touch of edgewear. The cloth is not soiled, split or frayed. Bookplate of Norwegian-American collector Herman Gimmestad to the half-title, otherwise unmarked. Hinges solid. A clean, tight copy.
