About This Item

(South Orange NJ): Privately Printed, 1981. Facsimile reprint. Hardcover. Very Good. This is a facsimile reprint, but not the common ones published "on-demand" in the last several years. From the gift inscription on the ffep we believe it was done in 1981 and was given to "cousin Harry Le Quier from Charles Perrine Christmas 1981." For this cloth bound facsimile the owner took copy #188 of the original 1910 edition of 250 copies (with H. D. Perrine's signature) and produced a truly nice and serviceable reproduction, including the folding map, using very good paper. Even the facsimile photos are quite good. 547pp. Index. Cloth with gilt-stamped titles. We are grading this copy very good because of the quality paper and binding, but we note a small "cigarette size" spot on the front cover with a very small piece of cloth removed. The back cover has several small flakes or spots and some rubbing. It appears something was one slightly adhered to the back cover and removed.
