Dark blue cloth with green spine lettering/decoration (some copies have yellow) and large color plate to front board, pictorial dust jacket. 2pp color frontispiece, 2 full-page color plates, 10 full-page illustrations, green pictorial endpapers. Near fine/good plus. Large chip across lower front panel of lightly-edgeworn jacket and top of slightly sunned spine. A tight, attractive copy of this superbly-illustrated reprint edition (circa 1930 based on internal evidence) of this popular yarn first published in Doubleday in 1922.
