Fleming published five children's books before her first crime novel, 'Two Lovers too Many', in 1949. Her second, 'A Daisy-Chain for Satan', was published the following year followed by over thirty further crime novels, two of which won her the Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger Award: 'When I Grow Rich' (1962) and 'Young Man I Think You're Dying' (1970)..
