Quarter burgundy leather and tan cloth binding. Cover bears gilt lining at the leather/cloth seam. Gilt lettering on the spine. Gilt top edge. Deckled foredge and foot. Handmade, cream laid paper. Heavily illustrated with black and white engravings, many with a loose tissue leaf protector laid in. xlvii, 333 pp. <br><br>ABOUT THE ARTIST: Sir David Young Cameron Ra (1865 to 1945) was a Scottish painter and etcher. His subjects included architectural studies, of which he produced a number of popular 'sets' and landscapes. He received various medals and awards for his etchings. In general his prints feature areas of great darkness, offset by highlights. Cameron would later become known for his church interiors and barren landscapes of Scotland done in drypoint. <br><br>CONDITION: Overall VG+, shows overall shelf wear and light age toning. Completely unmarked, leaves are bright and etchings are bold and dark. A nice copy. Full refund if not satisfied.
