A romantic story of New Hampshire politics during the era of progressivereform, colorful politicians, and corruption. Winston Churchill (1871-1947), was an extremely popular American author [not to be confused with the British statesman-Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchil. Born in St. Louis, he was a graduate of Annapolis (1894). Though most famous for his popular historical novels, his later work is somewhat more provocative-as it reflected his interest in the social, religious, and political problems of his day. First Edition of a once extremely popular work.
