Small Quarto (9 1/2 X 6 inches) San Francisco: The Arion Press, 1975. First Edition. 175 pages, printed in three colors on English Inveresk cream mould-made paper, vignettes from wood engravings in "Ecole des Cuisinieres, Paris, c. 1870," 425 copies, quarter blue cloth with paper label, patterned paper over boards, very good condition (almost imperceptible minor age toning to one edge of front cover and label, not affecting contents.)
"Intellectual infection..." A stimulating sampling of food related aphorisms from many sources collected over many years by a well known San Francisco fine press printer and bon vivant; in a beautiful edition.
