Rare Fine Press Books Rare & Antiquarian Books

The tradition of book-making is not just a craft--it is an art form. Back before the printing press made books easily available to the common citizen, great care was given to the formation of books. Some publishing houses have continued that long tradition in the form of fine press books. A fine press book can be identified by the fine press company that produced the book, and there are many fine press publishing and press houses across the globe. Some of these companies produce limited editions of classic titles exclusively, and these books tend to be highly sought-after by collectors.Due to the high quality and scarce nature of their publications, fine press books are often valuable. However, it is important to distinguish between fine press books and limited editions, as a limited edition is not necessarily a fine press book. A fine press book would have to be published by a fine press publishing house.
