Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1964. First Edition. Unbound Sheets. Fine/No Dust Jacket. Advance Preview Copy of the author's First Book. Comprising 37 unbound, quarto sheets laid-in the publisher's original red box, with printed white label. Text on rectos only. The first page is a publisher's letter from the publicity manager. Page 2 gives copyright and publication information. The remaining 35 pages are the text (reproduced from Barthelme's typescript) of two stories: "Me and Miss Mandible" and "Florence Green is 81." Fine in original box.
