BUT LACKS PAGES 1-4 of main text and some damage and minor repair to early leaves with minor text loss. Small worm hole in first 28 pages not nuch affecting text. The greater part of the text is fairly clean and tight but there are other minor marks and faults (but no other text loss). This is just a working copy with faults as described. . 1st Edition. Poor.

First trial is against John Plunket in May 1723. Text commences at page (1) and ends at 576. SOME PAGES MUST BE MISSING AT END. Fairly clean tight text in old very worn half leather but covers holding well. Endpapers and firstand lst few leaves bit stained. ?Contemporary armorial bookplate of Townley featuring their arms (Argent, on a fesse sable, a cinquefoil or, in chief three mullets of the second) in wreaths of flowers etc but not their name. From the library of Town Head House (Windermere). Modern title label. Just a good working copy. . 1st Edition. Good.
