Contemporary half-calf over marbled boards, rebacked with original spine laid down. Bookplate of Charles R. Hand. Diverse subject matter (some antiquarian rather than purely archaeological in the modern sense) includes history and antiquities of Shropshire, Maes-Howe inscriptions, ancient camps and earthworks in Cornwall, the House of Gourney, Cromlechs in Pembrokeshire and the Roman Villa at Nennig, Prussia.
