New York: Harper & Brothers, 1960. First Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. FIRST PRINTING of FIRST USA Edition. Original purple cloth with gilt lettering spine, small gilt publisher's emblem lower front cover. Ex-library book with library stamp on front pastedown, title page, text block edges, penned number on dedication page, no other library marks or writing on any other pages, remnants of bookplate and card pocket on front and rear pastedown, no foxing, fraying to cloth at ends of spine, some rubbing to cloth along bottom edges of covers, solid binding, complete. The book has 285 pages. Autobiography. Author was medical doctor and officer in the Army of the British Raj of Pakistan. He was the only Pakistani full member of the 1953 American K2 expedition. There are 5 chapters describing the expedition. He was also a member of Desio's 1954 K2 expedition. There are 2 chapters on this. PHOTOS ARE OF ACTUAL ITEM BEING OFFERED.
