The remaining compartments have some raised stamped decoration. Some light edgewear to some areas of the extremitites, but an attractive pair. White & Sons, Carmarthen. 4 Initials on the second front free endpaper in old fading ink. One page and opposing has some very pale brown stains, otherwise no marks, very clean tight and bright. Both volumes paginated identically - (iv) + 380 pp. Full page wood-engraved frontispieces and vignette illustration to each title page. Illustrated title letters to the first chapters and other full and half page illustrations in the text. Mid-Victorian spirtual and moral 'education' for children/juveniles mainly, in the form of stories and histories, plus some short bible 'quizzes' in the form of a puzzle, and bible questions, etc. A Charming Pair.
