First edition/first printing. Size is octavo (8vo), 9.375"/24cm h. Bound in publisher's color photographic paper over boards. Plain white endpapers. Lacking dust-jacket, likely published without. [1-2], 3-184. Preface (Hickman), Intro (Brown), plates/text, epilogue (Hickman, The Technique of Cloisonne). Heavily illustrated in color/b&w; notes and sources passim. Condition notes: a very good copy. Wear to boards include bumped corners (tail fore-corner shows underlying board); tail spine end rolled; several small bumps and chips to board edges. Spine slightly cocked. Interior lightly tanned but unmarked. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in an old farmhouse full of books. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
Furrowed Brow Books' goal is to offer an eclectic selection, while providing specialty offerings in Eastern Orthodoxy and Byzantine civilization, theology, Christian mysticism, science fiction/fantasy (Inklings emphasis), and military history.
