Paper over boards with quarter blue cloth spine, title stamped in pink onto spine and story character motif stamped in blue onto top board, 8vo (9-1/4 inches tall), pp. 161, [162-164], illustrated, colored endpapers, "First edition" stated on copyright page. Volume with spine ends softened, general light wear to covers, text lightly toned. DJ with light soil and stains, edge wear and shallow chips to spine ends. "Charlie is back! Starting where CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY left off - in the Great Glass Elevator" from the front flap.

Synopsis

Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator is a children's book by British author Roald Dahl. It is the sequel to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, continuing the story of young Charlie Bucket and eccentric candymaker Willy Wonka as they travel in the Great Glass Elevator. Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator was first published in the United States by Alfred A. Knopf, Inc. in 1972, and in the UK by George Allen & Unwin in 1973.
