The story loosely follows characters of Norse mythology and was a major influence in J.R.R. Tolkien's masterpiece "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

This fine printing was illustrated by the famous Arthur Rackham. This volume contains the final two movements of the work – "Siegfried" and "The Twilight of the Gods" translated by Margaret Armour.
