Chatto & Windus,, 1966. 8vo., First Edition, with plates, small neat signature on front free endpaper; grey cloth, gilt back, a very good, bright, clean copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter browned at backstrip and fold-ins, and dust-soiled on (predominantly white) rear panel. The first complete account of one of the most famous spy stories of WWII: the German journalist who ran a Red Army spy ring in the Far East until his eventual capture and execution by the Japanese. Not recorded by Enser.
